HMView 4.04 (Shareware, $79.00)

HMView is a off-line HTML browser. This very compact system, which supports most of the HTML 3.0 specifications, is ideal for distributing HTML format information when you cannot be certain the recipient has a browser. The system is multilingual, supporting English, French, Dutch, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese and Frysk. Registration entitles the owner to royalty free distribution of their project with HMView. Controls include font size, search, print, and source view; it supports frames, tables, animated GIFs, sound, and other desirable HTML features. The splash screen, animated logo, and help file can also be customized for your project. HMView is well documented and is a good, slimware system for a wide variety of uses.

Hyper Maker HTML 3000.21 (Shareware, $149)

HyperMaker HTML gives you a handy way to create and distribute HTML-based multimedia publications. It lets you package all HTML pages, linked images, and sounds in a single, encrypted, compressed file. Your creations can include .gif, .bmp, .jpg, and .png graphics; .avi movies; TrueType fonts; and .wav and .mid sound files. A royalty-free setup/viewer program (with a Web browser look-and-feel and multilanguage support) is included so that you can distribute your publications in diskette or CD-ROM form. If you wish, a publication can be compiled with some pages freely viewable and some restricted. Hyper Maker HTML can use most of the HTML 3.0 tags. The editor isn't crippled in any way, but the companion viewing program has a few limitations until the package is registered. Ebooks compiled with HyperMaker HTML do not require MSIE to run.
